However, their current options, including public hospital and single-provider hospitalis, are often unreliable, have 1-2 day wait times and employ over-worked and/or under-qualified doctors (who may not have licenses to practice). These environments often lead to mis-diagnoses and are associated with general stigma, leading individuals to put off healthcare. By offering reliable, affordable, friendly and quality care, Penda will attract significant market share, unlock tremendous value, and improve the general productivity of the lower and middle classes, thereby adding tremendous social value to Kenyan society.
