Tips & Guidelines for Asking Questions
The Answers feature is a powerful way for business members to get valuable business advice from experts while also allowing service providers to showcase their expertise by providing helpful answers. Here are some tips to asking great questions:
Skip the Hiring Inquiries. Are you looking to hire a service provider? The best way to do that is by looking in our expert search listings! All questions asking “Where can I hire a (insert service provider here)?” will be removed.
Provide sufficient detail. Provide an appropriate level of detail to help people better answer your question.
Keep your questions business related. We are a B2B (business-to-business) community and the purpose of the Q&A is to get answers from service providers in various areas of expertise. All non-business questions will be removed.
Ask open-ended questions. Any yes/no questions or one-response questions (i.e. “What is the current price of Moz?”) will be removed.
Don’t ask the same question twice. We will alert all relevant service providers when you ask a question and will give it sufficient opportunities to be answered. Any duplicate questions by the same user will be removed.
Tag your question. To get more responses and help other members, don't forget to add a few tags when asking your question.
Social share. Share your question with your social media contacts to solicit more responses.
Vote. Say thank you by voting up helpful answers and help maintain high quality content by voting down answers that are not useful.
Service Providers Asking Questions. Service Providers are allowed to ask questions outside of their area of expertise. In order to ask a question in their area of expertise, they must disclose that they are an expert in that industry and their reason for asking in the description. Any service providers who do not disclose that information will have their question removed.
Do NOT self promote. Self-promotional questions will be deleted and multiple infractions may result in account deactivation. A self-promotional question is defined by the intention of strictly looking to promote yourself/your business rather than looking for advice.

Be relevant. Any posts that don’t answer the question will be removed.
