GCEEI was an initiative proposed to the Government of Ghana in 2011 captured in the 2012 Budget of Ghana Page 24,paragraph 107 and is executed under a Public Private Partnership with the Government of Ghana through the Ministry of Finance and widely acclaimed by the World Bank and other Global Partners. The Center won the ideas 2012 Award instituted by Legacy and Legacy,was ranked as part of an entrepreneurial revolution by the Global Entrepreneurship Summer School Munich(Official project of the UN Decade for Sustainable Development) amongst others.

The Center serves as a one-stop-shop for
information and advisory services on career development especially for young people. Apart from providing one-on-one career guidance and counselling, the Centre also provides access to print and online resources relevant to youth development and career choices, including accessing start-up capital, nursing a business idea, business partnerships etc. The Centre also hosts an updated database of job vacancies and institutions, business opportunities and funding prospects. With state-of-the-art entrepreneurial system, the Centre provides a convenien tatmosphere for online research and training.
