I'm looking for objective feeback on my sites that are under construction

Asked 9 months ago, Edited 1 month ago by in Web & Mobile

www.sweetrubinos.com
www.wellthylivingnow.com

I'm also considering changing the names and taglines to be more clear and express more what I do. I'm open to your thoughts.
For Sweet Rubino's I'm thinking to drop it to "Rubinos" My family name

and for Wellthyliving maybe something like vital expressions, rehabitat or revamped....looking for suggestions.

Thanks,
Christine

Hi Christine,
Candid review of Sweet Rubino

At first read I was thinking drop the "sweet"...because the name conjured up a mental image of Sweet Tomatoes and Ruby Tuesdays (neither of which are awesome references.) BUT now that I look at the site, I like it - the "sweet" fits well with your product line.
Overall: the pages do not resize properly in Chrome, For example the Home tab in the upper toolbar falls off the left hand side of the page or the This is Who we are narrative falls off left - when I run chrome in a split screen. This is a simple page alignment issue. I think I want to see the more delicious photos of cookies underscored with the La Vita Dolce announcement from your "The Heart" page. I suggest minimizing the Share the Love Campaign to make room for savory imagery and a product announcement.
Cookie Connection page: Like the graphics. What is the Gluten Free Cookie Connection? A newsletter I think? This page should include whatever signup mechanism you are using. If I'm excited about the produce here - I shouldn't have to go looking for a signup elsewhere. Too many sign-up for options on one page. I'm confused - am I signing up for the GF Connection, pre-ordering cookies, becoming a member or enrolling in the monthly surprise cookie giveaway? OR does one signup do it all? If so (and that would be very cool for me) then perhaps state as such.
Your ordering page/function should be front and center - titled clearly on it's on page. I have to go searching for it - I get annoyed, I stop shopping.
Our Cookies page: I don't know what you make so I can't tel you what kind of cookie I want to be - minimize that content and show me all your cookies in full color with their names prominently labeled. I don't want to have to scroll through a slide show of small images to see what you make...perhaps you could do a tiled layout of images akin to what you did on the "what we are made of" page (which looks awesome, BTW).
News and Events link - set this up to open a new tab, versus taking me away from your website. You never want to take the client away from where I will be purchasing - always always position me to buy from you - you may consider having "buy" links on every single page or a very clear "buy" option in your upper toolbar.
Ditto on the Recipes link. Love the blogging...but don't take me completely away from where I shop
Sweet Noise Benefit Co page - you've got a few untitled links on the left (may just be because this is beta) Definitely add a clear link to where I can buy the music - you tell me to buy so make it possible for me to say 'yes!' by clicking right there...

Kind regards,
Sylvia

I love Sweet Rubinos! Dont change it. The sweet makes it catchy and descriptive. The site is super. Focus on marketing your brand and leave the site. It's great.

Wellthy Living video is super, but I'm in it for 1:19 and I still don't know what you do. Simplify the home page (keep stickies etc, just little less clutter) and help me go straight to what it is you do. I bet you're an awesome life coach, but I'm not sure.

One more thought- keep the name wellthy living unless you hate it. I think it;s more descriptive of what you do than the other names. Focus on markting your biz. Your site and name are good enough to move forward. Its hard to know when to stop tweaking. I find when I focus on name, site details, it means I'm afraid of going really big with my message. It's a sign to jump off the next cliff. You go girl!!!

The SweetRubinos site is attractive, especially with the text graphics and other photos. What I'd like to see you do is insert a brief video of you explaining a little bit about your site and products. Put that "s[ecial personality" touch right smack dab in the middle of the home page!

first thoughts - I do not like the lack of continuity when switching pages - The cookie connection and sweet noise benefit cd transition nicely - do not like switching style when going to news & events abd recipes
